Pedestrian barriers
Restraining pedestrian barriers prevent the pedestrians’ falling from the facilities with a significant elevation difference - bridges and roadbed.
In terms of arrangement the restraining pedestrian barriers are divided into:
- Road barriers, to be installed on the edge of the roadside;
- Bridge barriers, to be installed on the edge of side-walks (retention capacity - at least 1.27 kJ).
Limiting pedestrian barriers are designed to direct pedestrian flows, protect certain zones from pedestrians and prevent them from entering a dangerous area, to prevent animals’ entering the carriageway or right-of-way.
